“John Wayne as Proctor of Nature” is an 8-page feature on the land conservation in United States for Nordea Invest Magazine. Together with journalist Anders Haahr Rasmussen, I traveled to Colorado to document a story about American landowners who donated their land for the sake of protection of nature, essentially to avoid any future developments. Here’s how my photographs turned out in the magazine.

Here’s another handful of offshore photos from a recent assignment for Rigsby Hull and Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. These offshore photographs shows oil rig constructions and roughnecks at work on Ocean Valor, which is situated off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, an approximately 75 minutes ride by helicopter. The oil rig workers stays on the offshore rig drilling for oil in 15 and 30 days shifts. The oil rig photos will be used as part of Diamond Offshore’s communication material to clients and investors, including web and print media.
Once again I had the pleasure of working with Rigsby Hull and Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. on a oil rig photography project. During the course of a day, I visited their newest acquisition, the DP Semisubmersible Ocean Valor, in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
The oil rig photography includes pictures of the offshore construction, roughnecks portraits, offshore work situations. The final artwork will be used as part of Diamond Offshores communication to their shareholders and clients. This project contributes to the growing collection of oil drilling and oil rigs images and associated oil and gas industry structures and vessels by industrial photographer Jacob Langvad Nilsson.
We’ve completed the ethnographic research work for Nike and the result is a beautiful, 400-page book on football culture in Latin America. The research is in large part based upon visual ethnography by Jacob Langvad Nilsson. The book is a study of football culture among teens in Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The research sought to capture how football as a sport greatly influence the daily lives of youngsters in both urban and rural settings, and helped the client strengthen its understanding of and relationship with its consumers.
